I have had basal cell tumors since I was in my early 30s. I was able to get the first few removed when I was employed with health care coverage. The last few tumors I have not been so lucky. I had to wait several years to have the tumors removed and by the time the one on my upper lip was removed it left a whole in my lip. I had to wait until I had a job with coverage. At the moment I have no insurance and have not had a screening in a many years and fear the worse.
