I have several healthcare stories to tell, but I don't have the time right now. At the moment, all I will say is that the insurance industry as a whole (health, life, care, home, etc.) is out of control. It is the most profitable industry in the U.S., so why are premiums skyrocketing for all types of insurance. Why is the insurance industry allowed to keep and share an industry-wide database that track any/all claims you legitimately submit so they can intimidate you into NOT submitting claims? The agents tell you not to submit because then insurance companies track your claims and refuse to offer you a policy. This should be illegal.
And lastly, the amount that the insurance industry adds to the overhead for health insurance costs is about one third. Get rid of the middle man! Doctors earn less, patients pay more, the insurance industry gets fat off both of us. Eliminate the middle man - the insurance industry!
