Our out-of-pocket share of my husband's prescription drug costs (about $10,000 per hear)have doubled since the beginning of Part "D" with the doughnut hole. We had good drug coverage as a retirement benefit, but this benefit was cancelled when Part D became available. We believe that those who already had drug coverage that was equal to or better than Part D should have been protected from losing their coverage. We are also against the idea that the government cannot negotiate drug costs with the drug companies.
