I apologize that this note is rambling.

I'm an Illinois Veteran. I suffer with depression and PTSD. My mental state sometimes makes it difficult to concentrate and form complete thoughts.

The VAÕs official policy is not to help soldiers untangle the layers of VA bureaucracy. We are officially abandoned.

VA does not offer any of the newer anti-depression medications that most (if not all) normal, civilian HMOs and doctors offer. The medications available through VA cause impotency, when and if they work at all. How does making me impotent supposed to relieve my depression and PTSD?

God help us, because the VA wonÕt. VA does not have an ounce of compassion for any of us. I donÕt know how I am still here.
