Yes I have a true story. I needed to see a dentist to which my health care plan supported. After seeing the dentist & the ladies had taken down all my health card info before hand at the front desk. The dentist had to extract my back molar because it was badly decayed & couldn't be saved. At home a month later I recieved a statement from them that said I owed $250.00 & had a due date. I called them & told them to explain since I had dental insurance & they had told me I was good to go they did recognize my insurance. The lady on the phone told me that they were sorry but my insurance did not cover my dental work enven though I had coverage. She went on to explain that they had made a mistake on my health care insurance & apologized & that I was responciple for the charges. I went back over there to the dentist office & talked with a lady over the office. She told me the lady that waited on me was new & really not famillar with the proceedings with processing claims on insurance. I replied was this my fault? She remarked No that I would be responsible for the payment & stated that the girl was no longer with them that she had been dismissed. I ended up having to pay it but in monthly payments. This made me sick>sick>SICK.
