While my full story would be FAR too long to relate here, suffice it to say, having a medical history such as mine, it has made it essentially impossible to find full-time (ie: "with benefits") employment. "Employer funded" healthcare... an expense that is rising dramatically each year... on employers, results in few employers willing to hire someone that could possibly end up in the hospital (despite the fact my illness stabilized over 20 years ago) and/or potentially push up their rates. And covering those rates forces businesses to charge more, making them less competitive in the Global Market.
Putting the burden of health insurance on employers means millions of qualified workers can't get jobs because employers are unwilling to "risk" hiring someone that may push up their rates.
