My wife is consistently denied health care from independent insurance companies and is unable to get health care unless I am on an employer's group insurance policy. Most recently I was bamboozled into an employer "cafeteria" plan with $2500.00 deductibles and have to wait till the next registration cycle to switch back to the old plan. Aetna calls this plan "SmartCare" - since I fell for that I call it my own personal "StupidCare".
When will people in this country realize that the ability to choose an insurance company is NOT the ability to choose health care but instead is giving your health care choices to shareholders and their bottom line ?
Unite to change this system, change the AMA control over medical education to get more qualified providers and change the insurance control over what health care is and who has access to it.
