Corona, NY

Since being a chef for 25 years, it was few and far between, that the restaurants I worked for offered Insurance Benefits. In 1997 I had a cyst in my right ovary that was the size of an orange, but I could not afford my doctor's $10,000 fee + hospital costs. My x-husband and I moved to Greece where he was a citizen. He had a great friend that was a top surgeon, so he did the surgery for free, I only had to pay the $500 hospital stay!!!Not even in my own country could I afford surgery,it's astounding to me!!!

Sincerely, JoAnn Diaferio
