I am a single mother of a disabled son. I have him covered through my employer and I pay roughly 20% of my salary just for the insurance. I am imprisoned at this job although I am underpaid (at 300% of the federal poverty level) and cannot afford housing in a safe neighborhood, for fear of having a gap in insurance. My son has a surgery coming up that my co-pays and deductibles are going to cost and additional 25% of my yearly salary! His metabolic bone disorder is permanently disabling but I make $400 to $500 a month too much to qualify him for Social Security. I am almost at the end of my patience with this country's healthcare system! Please pray for us.
