I could write a book, but I will only tell of the basics.
I am 45 and on Medicare with many physical illness. Living in Florida is like a third world country in reguards to medical industry.
Since the Medicare reform I lost my Medicaide benfits so I have to pay the 20% that is not covered, therefore I can not afford to see the appropriate specialists that I need. I am dying slowly in this state and I can not afford to move out.
I have tumers in my hips and I was told by my Orthopedic Surgeon that he "Choses not to treat me". Of course I got a bill from him to tell me this. I can not afford to to get a new one.
I know that I do not get the care that I need because I am on Medicare and not on private insurance. This was proved to me when I was in the hospital and my roommate with a minor stroke, like me,she got all the tests and after treatment, when I was just tested and released.
