I am a retired Engineer from Chrysler LLC and I am on Medicare. My Wife is insured by Chrysler LLC and we have a 70/30 co pay. My Wife was involve in an accident this year and required a full body MRI. The price tag for that medical service was $8000.00. Our responsibility for the co pay was $2400.00. Keeping in mind, I'm retired, however, had I not had $2400.00 in our savings we would have been required to secure a loan putting our house up to secure the loan. Last year the co pay for the same insurance was 80/20, however Chrysler LLC changed the co pay and stated that if we wanted the 80/20 vs 70/30 it would cost us more out of pocket for that coverage. In the event that we encounter a medical bill for, i.e, $100,000.00, we would be required to file bankrupcy. I am ashamed to live in a country that does not provide National Health Care for its citizens.
