HEALTH CARE FOR AMERICA NOW AND PARTNERS ADD SIX NEW DISTRICTS TO TARGETED $1.7 MILLION AD CAMPAIGN

Washington, DC – Health Care for America Now (HCAN) – the nation’s largest health care campaign – along with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), and Catholics United released a second wave of television ads today telling Representatives Gary Peters (MI-09), Melissa Bean (IL-08), Dina Titus (NV-03), Chris Carney (PA-10), Betsy Markey (CO-04), and Zach Space (OH-18) to listen to us, not the insurance companies, and pass health care reform now.
The six new ads round out a 17-district, $1.4 million ad buy airing on broadcast and cable stations through Friday. Ads launched Tuesday are running in the districts of Representatives Jason Altmire (PA-04), John Boccieri (OH-16), Jim Costa (CA-20), Suzanne Kosmas (FL-24), Harry Mitchell (AZ-05), Scott Murphy (NY-20), Brad Ellsworth (IN-08), Earl Pomeroy (ND), Bill Foster (IL-14), Steve Driehaus (OH-01), and Alan Mollohan (WV-01). HCAN partner MoveOn.org also sponsored three ads beginning Tuesday in PA-04, NY-20, and North Dakota (at large) for an additional $300,000.
