Americans United - The system is broken

Ask anyone in America – regardless of political affiliation – what they think of the health care
system and you’ll get little or no disagreement. The system is broken. It needs to be fixed. The
only outstanding question is how.
Under President Bush, the prescription for fixing the health care system in America has been
“take two health insurance lobbyists and call me in the morning.” The result is that while hard-
working people have been struggling to keep up with skyrocketing costs, insurance and
pharmaceutical companies have been posting record profits.
Clearly it is time for another approach – one that provides quality, affordable health care you
can count on.
