If the Corporate Lobbyists Win, We Lose! (Rally and March)
In the wake of the election in Massachusetts, Congressional leaders are weighing how to fulfill their commitment to fix our broken health care system. On top of that, the Supreme Court has dealt another heavy blow — they’ve opened the floodgates to unrestricted corporate money into our political arena. That means that big insurance and other corporations will be able to spend unlimited amounts of money to kill health care, environmental, worker rights and many other needed reforms.

The Chamber of Commerce has spent millions — and laundered millions from big insurance — in an attempt to kill health care reform and bully Congress into inaction health care and other progressive issues.

On Tuesday we will rally outside the Chamber to remind Congress that no matter how much money is on the side of big insurance and big corporations, we have the people. We will fight back with the voices of those denied coverage and those burdened and bankrupted by skyrocketing premiums.

Our message to Congress will be direct: We support them. And now more than ever they need to stand up to the Chamber and their insurance and corporation dollars. We’ll stand with them. They should start by delivering quality, affordable health care for everyone.
